Had the Eskdale Special which comes with haddock, chips, bread and butter and tea or coffee. Absolutely delicious, perfectly steamed, big portion of haddock in a light, crispy batter and piping hot chips. Curry sauce was tasty and quite sweet which I love and the tartare sauce was great too. Service was really quick and friendly. Thank you - we are glad we have found you :)
Superb meal. I had perfectly cooked scampi and chips and my husband had battered haddock and chips both served with tartare sauce and a generous piece of lemon. Mushy peas the best we’ve both had in a very long time! Of course finished off with a Yorkshire tea and cappuccino for my husband. Attentive staff. Highly recommended . Thank you
Great fish and chips, chips needed slightly longer in fryer but they were cooked
The haddock and chips were very tasty and not greasy. The staff were very pleasant and attentive during our visit. We’d certainly recommend this fish restaurant, a well Deserved 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Very busy takeaway and restaurant which we thought was a really good sign and we weren't wrong ,we got seated in the restaurant, being politely greeted by a lovely waitress who took our order of large cod n chips n curry sauce n scraps and small cod n chips plus x2 dandelion n burdock drinks , the cod was cooked to perfection and the batter was light n crispy golden , amazing tasting fish which was fresh as fresh could be 💯 good sized portions, o and the curry sauce was sweet n yummy. All l can say is we can't wait to go back, total cost was £33.00 , good value and worth every penny considering the amazing quality of the food .
Lovely fresh fish and chips served by friendly attentive staff. We travel quite some distance to come here for food. Good that they also have skate and plaice available, as well as crab salad. Closed in Mondays, which is a shame, but they need a day off! Car park is fairly small but there's free parking nearby. Disabled access through the takeaway door. Most tables are in the nice and light conservatory. Seating is basic but very comfy. Easy to accommodate a wheelchair. Also worth visiting the antiques centre across the road while you're there.
Fabulous business. Best fishnchips I've ever had. The product was delicious, quality great and cosy very reasonable. Better than the Magpie in Whitby ,hands down. 100 per cent recommended.
The standout dishes include the Eskdale Special, featuring haddock, chips, bread and butter, and your choice of tea or coffee. Don't miss the perfectly cooked scampi and chips, along with their famous mushy peas. The curry sauce is a sweet delight.
